its Christmas time!!!

its that time of the year again. the pretty lights are up all along orchard road. shopping malls are decorated with larger-than-life santas and elves and reindeers. theres even dancing trees this time round. shops are having sales. people are running all around looking for gifts. restaurants are overwhelmed with orders for turkeys, honey baked ham or anything christmasy.

I HATE CHRISTMAS !!!

never liked christmas, dont think that will change anytime soon. so what if i receive gifts and cards. its an over-commercialised event, festival, date. juz like valentines day. its juz a good excuse for companies to turbo-charge their sales.

everywhere in town will be PACKED...packed like sardines. roads will be jammed up and it will take forever to get to your destination. i hate crowds. i hate to squeeze with people. unless its all babes around me. highly unlikely.

all the stupid kids will be in town, trying to get a piece of the action...trying to appear to be happening to their frens... why do people have to go to town to celebrate christmas anyway???? why do they like to wait forever to be seated for dinner??? why do they like to squeeze with the rest of the thousands of idiots along orchard road??? dont the females know that perverts/molestors patrol the streets at occassions like this for preys??? i've seen those chao banghlas in action before at sentosa...

last year, i was stuck in the jam for a freaking long time... only enjoyable thing that i can remember was the honking i did at midnight...winding down the window and honking...in orchard road...shouting like lunatics with my frens...thats the only thing i remember from that night...wasnt even sure which group of buds i was out with...
and the cursing and swearing at the traffic...and of course...not forgetting all the taxi drivers...they get the most of my attention...

when i was younger, before i got my licence, back in sec sch days i think, i was in the outrageous human traffic along road...battling for room to move...to move forward...step by step...inch by inch...to meet my frens...not a pleasant experience...

i have learnt that during christmas and valentines day, avoid town at all costs. and the roads leading to it.

and please, do not drink and drive. unless its juz in your neighbourhood. coz i believe tps will be all out tonite and on new years eve as well. shld have operations in many places. watch out tpe, ecp, cte.

im juz gona grab a few drinks at the nearby kopitiam with a few of my buds. we all hate crowds. jams. long waits. prob gona order a few bottles of beer with a few packs of ciggies. shall see if we can find some nuts to munch on. i so feel like those typical ah peks sitting at kopitiams. but it feels really relaxing to do that...have a couple of drinks with your buds...away from the crazy people stuck in town...revelling in the peace and serenity of the neighbourhood kopitiam.

should i do the same for new years eve as well??? been going for countdowns for the past few years...a change this year perhaps....

===========================================

on another note...one of my temptations told me shes free tmr nite...so i can go meet her at her place if i want to...

and the other told me that she will be at dbl o on nye...asked me to join her.....

hmmm.....shall see if i can resist....see if the force of inertia is more powerful than them....

===========================================

merry christmas everyone...
